Positioning Statement

A positioning statement is a description of our primary purpose. It is primarily an internal statement to be used as a guiding light for all materials, and under certain circumstances externally, if needed.

Philadelphia depends on us to be the catalysts for bringing social, cultural, and economic power to the people who will change this city. Through education we transform our city’s passion into action—propelling Philadelphia into a stronger future for all of us who love it and want to make it better. 

Tagline

A tagline is a short, memorable phrase that captures our brand essence and reinforces our positioning. It is an external statement.

This message is a call to action, asking Philadelphians to recognize the power that we possess to improve the world around us and ourselves—power that comes from our lived experiences, talents and aspirations.

Brad Attributes

These attributes are the key principles that we communicate through every message or visual within our brand. These words and ideas can be used both internally and externally.

Welcoming: CCP is an inclusive community of learners where everyone can find the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. We lift each other up.

Sincere: We build on our students’ unique lived experiences and commitments. We offer learning formats, support services, and educational opportunities specifically designed to help students meet both their personal and professional goals.

Unapologetic: We’re proud to be the largest public institution of higher education in Philadelphia. We firmly believe everyone should have access to equitable educational opportunities that will lead to self-improvement and social mobility.

Resilient: Our community’s resilience and tenacity are inspirational. We work to remove any obstacles or barriers standing in our students’ way.
