Community College of Philadelphia has several transfer Agreements with Thomas Jefferson University: dual admissions and program-to-program.
The dual admissions Agreement applies only to students who enter Thomas Jefferson University East Falls's traditional (day) programs. We also have two different program-to-program transfer Agreements: one with Thomas Jefferson University-East Falls' non-traditional bachelor's degree programs and a second one with Thomas Jefferson University's Jefferson College of Pharmacy.
To benefit from any of these Agreements students must earn an appropriate associate degree before transfer. These Agreements are not exclusive of one another and may complement one another.
Dual Admissions
Thomas Jefferson University and Community College of Philadelphia have developed a dual admissions Agreement. This Agreement is designed to assist students who earn an appropriate associate degree to transfer to Thomas Jefferson University’s traditional day programs offered at their East Falls campus. Thomas Jefferson University guarantees admissions on the condition that students meet all the requirements.
Admissions into a particular major is not guaranteed. Upon transfer, students earn junior standing for matching majors. Support and financial incentives, including scholarship awards, are built-in to offer students the best opportunity for success.
Students who do not qualify for dual admissions, are still eligible to transfer to Thomas Jefferson University. Please review the list of approved programs below and visit with a Community College of Philadelphia academic advisor or counselor for further assistance.
Program-to-Program
These are Agreements in which an entire curriculum or program of study is accepted, so graduates of these specific associate degree programs transfer with advanced standing (junior status) into a matching specific bachelor's degree program at Thomas Jefferson University. To benefit from these agreements, students must earn an appropriate associate degree before transfer.
In addition to the dual admissions corresponding degree programs at Thomas Jefferson University-East Falls listed below, a program-to-program Agreement has also been established for corresponding degree programs with Thomas Jefferson University-East Falls' non-traditional programs.
The Agreement with Thomas Jefferson University-East Falls' non-traditional bachelor's degree programs applies to students who enter Thomas Jefferson University as full-time or part-time undergraduate students. Courses are offered in accelerated, hybrid and online formats and individualized advising is available to all students.
