The Community College of Philadelphia has a program-to-program and core-to-core transfer Agreement with Bryn Mawr College.
Bryn Mawr College is a highly selective women's liberal arts college located just outside of Philadelphia.
Program-to-Program
These are Agreements in which an entire curriculum or program of study is accepted, so graduates of these specific associate degree programs transfer with advanced standing (junior status) into a matching specific bachelor's degree program at Bryn Mawr College. To benefit from this Agreement, students must earn an appropriate associate degree before transfer.
Core-toCore
Bryn Mawr College agrees to accept the General Education embedded in the associate degrees included in this Agreement as meeting all the general education requirements of its undergraduate General Education requirements except for the following two requirements:
- Math 161 or higher
- Two semesters of the same world language (regardless of proficiency)
All students must satisfy the mathematics and world language requirements regardless of their academic program but all courses may be taken at Community College of Philadelphia for transfer to Bryn Mawr College.
Bryn Mawr College additionally requires all transfer students to take two Physical Education electives and satisfy the Bryn Mawr College swim requirement upon transfer.
This core-to-core Agreement applies to only to associate in arts (A.A.) and associate in science (A.S.) degrees included in this Agreement. Core-to-Core transfer does not alter the requirements of the student's major field of study as identified in the Bryn Mawr College catalog.
