January 2016
- The Board of Trustees has a retreat to discuss a College vision statement
February 2016
- The President’s Cabinet has a retreat to discuss the College vision statement and create a draft of a plan for leadership of strategic planning, a timeline and a process. Judith Gay and Sam Hirsch are selected to co-lead the strategic planning effort.
March 2016
- A communication is sent to the College community announcing the start of strategic planning.
- Facilitators are identified for planning, including representatives of faculty, administration, staff and a student representative.
- A communication is sent to the College community identifying the planning team and encouraging participation.
April 2016
- A mission survey is distributed to faculty, administrators and staff.
- There is an update on the strategic planning effort at a Town Hall meeting.
- The Facilities Master Planning group holds forums for the College community.
- There is a brainstorming session with interested external parties to discuss the creation of the Institute for Community Engagement and Civic Leadership.
- A survey is distributed to faculty, administrators and staff.
- Facilitators hold forums for members of the College community.
- The mission survey is sent to students.
May 2016
- The survey is sent to the Board of Trustees and the Foundation Board.
- Dr. Generals holds a discussion with community members at each regional center.
