2024-2025 FCTL Faculty Fellowships: Call for Applications

2024-25 Academic Year Call for Proposals

The FCTL Advisory Committee voted to restructure and reallocate the funding for five fellows to add more categories to include more faculty and a wide range of projects that can benefit faculty and our students. For this academic year, there will be four categories:
FCTL Full Fellows: Selected fellows will complete a year-long interdisciplinary project that will facilitate involvement of faculty across the divisions. Project should focus on current trends or teaching strategies in higher education that can be applicable to any discipline. Two fellows will be selected who will receive 1.5 extended credit hours (67 hours of work each semester) in fall and spring.
Collaborative Fellows: For this category, faculty will apply as a team with each team consisting of TWO faculty. One team will be selected for fall and another for spring, and each team should comprise of faculty from different divisions; for example, a team could consist of a full time or part-time faculty from any division and/or faculty from advising, counseling, library, and learning lab. Each team member will receive .75 extended credit hours (33.5 hours of work each semester) in fall and spring.
Teaching and Learning Circle Fellows: 10 faculty leads, five in fall and five in spring will be selected to lead other faculty members. Selected faculty will choose a topic or a book and recruit other faculty members to be part of the teaching and learning circle. Faculty leads will receive .5 extended credit hours (22 hours of workin fall or spring).

One Thing Fellows: For this category, faculty can do ONE THING to implement either in fall or spring. 10 faculty will be selected in fall and 10 in spring. Faculty’s ONE THING must be connected to what they learned at the 2024 Summer Institute, 2024 PD week, or any work that the other fellows are leading. Each One Thing Fellow will receive $175-5 extended credit hours.
Regardless of the category you will be applying for, all proposals need to align with any one of the following:
