Students interested in transfer to Pennsylvania State University Abington, Brandywine or Harrisburg are asked to review the list of approved majors and submit a dual admissions intent form through Community College of Philadelphia’s system. To submit this form, login to the MyCCP portal and find the Transfer/Dual Admissions box in the top right of the MyGPS tab.

Pennsylvania State University Dual Admissions Process

Community College of Philadelphia students planning to attend one of Penn State's Commonwealth Campuses are eligible toapply to this program.You can participateby submitting a Dual Admissions Form while you are enrolled at CommunityCollege of Philadelphia. You will receive a conditionaloffer of admission to a Penn State Commonwealth Campusand will be assigned a Penn State User ID and login. During the last semester Community College of Philadelphia, youwill submit a transfer application and official transcripts from all your colleges or universities attended.

Students who earn an Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in a transfer degree program, are in good standing, and have a minimum grade-point average of 2.00 are guaranteed admission to a degree program completed at one of Penn State's 19 commonwealth campus locations.

Admissions into a particular major is not guaranteed.

The University Park campus of Pennsylvania State University is not included in this Agreement.

Take the following steps to participate in the Penn State Dual Admissions Program:

1. Complete the Penn State Dual Admissions Form

Provide Penn State with some brief information to let them know you intend to enroll.

Students interested in pre-approved programs at Pennsylvania State University Abington, Brandywine or Harrisburg are asked to submit the Community College of Philadelphia dual admissions intent form. To submit this form, login to the MyCCP portal and find the Transfer/Dual Admissions box in the top right of the MyGPS tab.

2. Participate in semester-by-semester advising

Work with your Community College of Philadelphia advisor or counselor to earn your associate degree and prepare for the transition to your Pennsylvania State University Commonwealth Campus to complete your four-year degree.

3. Submit your Penn State Application

Submit your MyPennState Application during the last semester you are enrolled at Community College of Philadelphia. Be sure to request an application fee waiver from your Pennsylvania State University admissions counselor before you submit your application.

4. Provide your Pennsylvania Community College transcripts

Send official transcripts to Pennsylvania State University from your community college and any other post-secondary institution where coursework was attempted.
