View Institution Transfer Agreement

Community College of Philadelphia has three types of transfer agreements with Rosemont College: dual admissions, core-to-core and program-to-program. To benefit from any of these agreements students must earn an appropriate associate degree before transfer. These agreements are not exclusive of one another and the agreements can complement one another.

50% Tuition Discount

In addition to our formal transfer Agreements, Rosemont College has committed to provide associate degree graduates from Community College of Philadelphia with a unique pathway to obtain their bachelor's degrees.

When Community College of Philadelphia graduates choose to enroll in one of Rosemont’s accelerated online degree programs or join Rosemont as an on-campus residential student, not only will ALL sixty of their associate degree credits automatically be accepted, but they will also receive 50% off tuition and the ability to transfer up to 30 additional credits.

Dual Admissions

Rosemont College and Community College of Philadelphia have developed a dual admissions agreement. This agreement is designed to assist students who earn an appropriate associate degree to transfer to Rosemont College. Rosemont College guarantees admissions on the condition that students meet all the requirements.

Admissions into a particular major is not guaranteed. Upon transfer, students earn junior standing for matching majors. Support and financial incentives, including scholarship awards, are built-in to offer students the best opportunity for success.

Dual admissions eligibility

Students who do not qualify for dual admissions, are still eligible to transfer to Rosemont College. Please review the list of approved programs below and visit with a Community College of Philadelphia academic advisor or counselor for further assistance.

Core-to-Core (Gen Ed-to-Gen Ed)

Rosemont College and Community College of Philadelphia have a core-to-core agreement known as "Gen Ed-to-Gen Ed." In this, Rosemont College agrees to accept the General Education embedded in Community College of Philadelphia's Associate in Arts (A.A.) and Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees as meeting all the requirements of its undergraduate general education requirements except for the following. Students may complete all of these required courses at Community College of Philadelphia.

Students attending the Rosemont College's Undergraduate College will need:

  • Ethics – Transfer PHIL 211
  • Theology and Religious Studies – Transfer any two courses from: RS 101, RS/PHIL 151, RS/PHIL 152, RS/HIST 170, RS 175 or RS 180
  • World Language – Second level proficiency in any world language (based on placement testing). Transfer two courses in the same world language from the following combination: 101 and 102 OR 102 and 201 OR 201 and 202.

Students attending Rosemont College's School of Graduate and Professional Studies will need:

  • Theology and Religious Studies – Transfer any two courses from: RS 101, RS/PHIL 151, RS/PHIL 152, RS/HIST 170, RS 175 or RS 180
  • Ethics – For the Business Administration major, also transfer PHIL 211

This core-to-core agreement applies to all A.A and A.S. degrees and is not limited to students who participate in dual admissions. Core-to-core transfer does not alter the requirements of the student's major field of study.

Program-to-Program

These are agreements in which an entire curriculum or program of study is accepted, so graduates of these specific associate degree programs transfer with advanced standing to a matching specific bachelor's degree program at Rosemont College.
