While we may not have been able to be together for summer and fall classes, we were able to stay connected as a community. Take a look at some of the events that took place this summer and fall, from Roary making an appearance at some Phamous Philly landmarks and construction at our new Career and Advanced Technology Center in in West Philadelphia, to our Snack Rack Curbside Pickup food pantry, our Enough is Enough Solidarity Walk, and lots of great Zoom events!

In honor of Black History Month, the College organized a robust line-up of events all throughout February.
The Community College of Philadelphia men's and women's Lions basketball teams are showing the city that gritty teams that play together, win together. Both teams have displayed endurance, courage, athleticism and a hunger for victory.
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Community College of Philadelphia faculty, staff and students were intvited to Girard College to participate in the largest Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service. There, at the largest MLK event in the city, Roary and their friends set up a table and spread #CCPPride by helping event attendees register to vote.
The College kicked off spring 2020 with a week-long series of seminars designed to sharpen the professional skills of faculty, staff and administrators. Beginning with a healthy breakfast and panel discussion, the week included presentations on topics like creating accessible documents online, diversity and how to support student wellbeing.
The fall induction of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society was held on on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019. Phi Theta Kappa, the official honor society of two-year colleges, recognizes the academic achievement of college students and provides opportunities for its members to grow as scholars and leaders. Established in 1918, Phi Theta Kappa has a presence on almost 1,300 community college campuses in 11 nations. Congratulations on this distinguished accomplishment, students!
The Great Hall was transformed into a winter wonderland on December 11 when faculty and staff gathered for the College's annual holiday brunch. College employees were celebrated for their 20, 30, 40 and 50 years of service. A hot brunch was accompanied by dancing, games, giveaways and a side of the Cha Cha Slide.
