LatinX Month is celebrated by faculty, staff, and invited guests with a luncheon prepared and served by the Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts Departments.

Dr. Generals and Dr. Kenneth Hawkinson, president of Kutztown University, signed a ceremonial dual admissions agreement to help put Community College of Philadelphia students on a path to a four-year degree.

Community College of Philadelphia and the Radner Property Group, LLC held a demolition party to celebrate the beginning of construction on the Hamilton, a mixed-use development that will feature market-rate apartments and retail space.
This property unites the College and residents to the surrounding neighborhood and resources. Completion of the project is scheduled for August 2018.

Students, staff and faculty gathered in Bonnell Courtyard on Monday, August 21, to view the Solar Eclipse. The College provided solar eclipse glasses that were shared among the crowd, and members of the College community shared eclipse viewers homemade from boxes.
Wills for Heroes
Local lawyers and Community College of Philadelphia paralegal students volunteered to create wills for veterans, law enforcement, firefighters and EMTs. The College collaborated with the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Comcast, and law firm Ballard Spahr to provide this important service.
Deliberative Democracy Symposium
The Deliberative Democracy Symposium brought citizens, experts, and politicians together to learn how to solve civic issues through discourse and inclusion.
The Pathways Magazine breakfast event celebrated the publication of the Spring 2017 edition of the College's own Pathways Magazine, which featured Drexel University President John Fry, as well as Dual Admissions student success stories. After breakfast, President Fry joined President Dr. Generals in signing a dual admissions agreement between the Community College of Philadelphia and Drexel University.
