Grady's Garden Pop-up Reception
Community College of Philadelphia was an official location partner for B.PHL, a new, city-wide innovation festival that took place in Philadelphia October 15-17. The Spring Garden Records’ pop-up reception, Philly Sounds on Greenhouse Grounds, in Grady’s Garden was one of five College-led events. Guests were welcome to relax in a hammock or share a bench with friends as they enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and live performances by Hayley Cass, the Fairmount String Quartet, Amari and Mike Waters. The official record label of Community College of Philadelphia, Spring Garden Records produces and releases music created by students, alumni, members of the College community and other Philadelphia artists. Grady’s Garden is a greenhouse on Main Campus built to help address food insecurity and promote healthy eating among Community College of Philadelphia students. Attendees were invited to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the College’s food pantry.
