Academic Advising Information for Faculty
Advising Scheduler
The Advising Scheduler, available on MyCCP, allows full-time faculty to submit 6 hours of availability for required Academic Advising. Students will be able to use MyCCP to view faculty availability and schedule an advising appointment with a full-time faculty member associated with his/her curriculum. Full-time faculty members who are on a half-time schedule will be able to submit 3 hours of availability. Also, faculty members can make adjustments to a previously submitted availability schedule as needed.
Please note: All full-time faculty will have the option of completing their six hours of required academic advising or completing Starfish Progress Surveys at the 20% and 50% points of the semester for all students in all of their 15 and 10 week classes. For the 7 week terms, there are only 20% Starfish Progress Surveys which would need to be completed for all students.
The Starfish Progress Surveys require faculty to make entries for each student as to whether they are progressing well (i.e. a "kudo" can be raised) or if there are concerns, then various “flags” may be raised with additional comments.
Please be aware that if faculty choose to be a part of the pilot, they must complete the progress surveys by the 20% and 50% marks of each part of term. By completing the progress surveys, faculty will be designated as compliant for the Spring 2025 term (in lieu of academic advising).
