Innovation of The Year Award

Community College of Philadelphia is participating in the annual Innovation of the Year Award sponsored by the League for Innovation in the Community College. This program provides an opportunity to showcase innovation at League colleges and recognize the individuals who fostered the innovation. Award-winning innovations are recognized on the League for Innovation in the Community College website. (Examples of previous winners from community colleges across the United States including Community College of Philadelphia).

Each League-affiliated College identifies one outstanding innovation that is noteworthy in any of the following categories:

  1. Workforce preparation & development
  2. Learning & teaching
  3. Student services and activities
  4. Research assessment and accountability
  5. Resource development
  6. Basic skills and developmental education
  7. Leadership and organization

The winning innovation will be recognized at the end of the spring semester during the President's Recognition Tea.
