Vaccinations and Testing

Due to City of Philadelphia mandates, anyone who comes to the College who is not fully vaccinated will be tested before they will be permitted on campus. Masks are required. Starting Oct. 15, all faculty, staff and students must be fully vaccinated. Please see our College COVID-19 Updates for more information.

Counseling Department

College life is full of opportunities and challenges. The Counseling Department of Community College of Philadelphia can help you optimize your opportunities and meet your challenges. The College offers free, comprehensive counseling services to all of our students. Our highly qualified and diverse staff provides expertise in career, transfer, academic and personal counseling. Confidentiality is maintained in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

On-campus Hours

In-person counseling is available by appointment at the Main Campus, and Northeast and Northwest Regional Centers.

  • Main Campus, Room BG-07—Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Northeast Regional Center, Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Northwest Regional Center, Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Counseling department wants to ensure that we can support our students remotely. Services are available by phone, email and zoom appointments. 

Virtual Drop-In Hours (via Zoom)

In addition to appointments, students are encouraged to attend our virtual drop-in hours:

  • August 23-September 3—Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
      • Join our virtual drop-in hours between Aug. 23 and Sept. 3 for assistance with registering for classes
    • September 7-10—Tuesday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
      • Join our virtual drop-in hours for schedule changes, choosing a major and registration
    • September 13-December 10—Mondays and Tuesdays, from 11 am to 1 p.m.
      • Join our virtual drop-in hours for choosing/changing majors, withdrawing/dropping a course, registering and other quick questions
