Main Campus Athletics Center
Employees can use the College Athletics Center, located on 17th Street at Main Campus. You must swipe in with your ID. The Athletics department offers a universal weight room; exercise room with treadmills, stair climbers and stationary bikes; racquetball courts; basketball court; and a variety of exercise classes such as Zumba, fitness boot camp, basic stretch, Pilates and aerobics. Employees have a separate locker room complete with individual lockers and showers. You can reserve a locker free of charge each semester.
Main Campus Indoor Walking Path
Employees can utilize the indoor walking path, which winds around the perimeter of the Mint, West and Bonnell buildings. One loop around is half a mile and starts in front of the Boardroom in the Mint Building. Watch for the yellow walking path signs posted on the walls along the trail. We have an active Walking Club, the Spring Garden Strollers, which hosts outdoor walking events to various scenic locations in addition to indoor walking events. Watch for the CNews announcing our next walking event.
The CDC recommends that healthy adults get 150 minutes of moderate activity a week, such as brisk walking. To meet this recommendation, walk 7,000 to 8,000 steps a day.
