Community College of Philadelphia is a thriving environment full of diverse students, faculty and staff committed to fostering knowledge and positive change in matters of diversity, inclusion, inequality and social justice. Further, the College recognizes its larger impact and responsibility around such issues for Philadelphia more broadly. To this end, the President's Diversity Council aims to provide a range of dynamic programming that promotes critical thinking towards a more equitable and safe institution and city. Various diversity initiatives are offered on a regular basis including, diversity trainings, a diversity certificate program that recognizes faculty and staff who demonstrate a significant commitment to this education, a range of public events, and a diversity fellowship program that seeks to recruit and retain an ever more representative workforce.
