Risk Management
The Office of Risk Management manages the commercial insurance portfolio for the Community College of Philadelphia.
The mission of the Risk Management Office is to promote safety and accident prevention, to protect the assets of the College (financial, physical, and human), to minimize legal liabilities, and to support the College's compliance with laws and regulations. Strong partnerships and collaboration with the College Community are central to the success of this mission.
The Risk Management Office serves the college by:
- Overseeing the college's annual insurance renewal process
- Credentialing drivers who may drive on behalf of the college
- Managing vehicle insurance and accident claims
- Providing Certiicates of Insurance
- Answering general insurance and risk questions
- Reviewing contracts for insurance, idemnity, and other risk or compliance concerns. Please allow at least five business days for review
Certificates of Insurance / Proof of Insurance
Exchanging proof of insurance is a common step in the contracting process. A Certificate of Insurance is a document obtainable by request from your insurance company as proof to a third party that your institution is insured.
