Mission Statement
The mission of Community College of Philadelphia's professional development efforts is to improve and sustain excellence in teaching and learning, and the professional growth of all employees through collegial, planned learning opportunities that support the strategic goals of the college.
Call for Proposals
The Fall schedule will follow a slightly different format:
- Monday—Fully in-person
- Tuesday—Virtual
- Wednesday—Hybrid
- Thursday-Hybrid
Proposal Ideas:
The theme for the Fall 2025 PD Week is: Rooted in purpose, roaring with possibility: 60 years of Students first.
Here is a brief explanation of what each day entails:
MONDAY- Theme Day!
All sessions will be connected to the theme Rooted in purpose, roaring with possibility: 60 years of Student's first. Only proposals connected to the theme will be chosen for the first day.
TUESDAY- Assessment Tuesday!
This day will be devoted to mainly training for Insights by eLumen and grant related training.
WEDNESDAY- Meeting Day!
The day will begin with the Academic and Student Success Division meeting followed by departmental meetings. Union meetings, program meetings and others will take place throughout the rest of the day.
THURSDAY – Mix n Match Day!
Sessions will consist of varying formats: 1-hour presentation to share data informed ideas ready for implementation; 30-minute presentation where you can share an innovative idea; 10-minute slam for a quick update or a message that you wish to share. Proposals can be for any of the mentioned formats.
