Program Eligibility Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled at Community College of Philadelphia (and remain such while in the program)
- Minimum 2.0 GPA required
- Must be in good academic standing (no academic probation)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have availability during the school day (Monday - Friday between 9am - 3pm) and be available to tutor in-person
- If participating in Federal Work Study, must be authorized to work in the United States
*International students are welcome to participate in the program as volunteers, however are not eligible to receive Federal Work Study
Step-by-Step Process
- Submit an Adopt-A-School Program application (read the job description here)
- Check your Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility with the Financial Aid Office
- Complete background checks and all required training and documentation
- Attend tutor training and orientation
- Receive your official school placement and show up for your first day!
