Diagnostic Medical Imaging

The Diagnostic Medical Imaging program is designed to prepare students to become clinically competent, entry-level radiologic technologists. Through a comprehensive combination of classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory practice, and supervised clinical education, students gain knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of medical imaging.

The curriculum emphasizes proper operation of imaging equipment, effective patient communication, accurate positioning techniques, and the selection of appropriate exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.  In addition, students are educated on the ethical and legal responsibilities within the medical imaging profession and are held to the highest standards of professional conduct.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will have fulfilled all educational and clinical requirements necessary for certification and registration in Radiography through the American Registry of radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
