Advanced College Experience (ACE)

The Advanced College Experience (ACE) program allows motivated Philadelphia high school students and students actively enrolled in a GED program to take credit-bearing college courses at the College during the summer.


Philadelphia High School students entering 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grades, or students actively enrolled in a program and pursuing their GED.

Program Details

ACE offers an array of courses in such areas as acting, music production, video game simulation, psychology, justice, foreign languages, and video production. Students receive extra hours of instruction and the cost of enrollment is significantly less than regular college tuition.

How to Apply

Students can apply by downloading and completing the ACE application that is posted on the website starting in late March annually. They must send the following three items together: the completed application, a recommendation letter, and a check or money order covering the cost of tuition to: Community College of Philadelphia, 1700 Spring Garden, Room S3-03I, Philadelphia, PA, 19130.
