Advance at College/Dual Enrollment

Advance at College allows Philadelphia high school students, or those aged 21 or younger actively enrolled in a high school equivalency program the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. Students are dually enrolled in both high school and college at the same time, and in many cases, will earn high school credit for their college courses.

Eligibility

11th and 12th grade high school students who either live in Philadelphia or attend a Philadelphia school are eligible. Students must be motivated and must have demonstrated the academic ability and maturity necessary to succeed in a college-level course. Students must also satisfy the College’s placement requirement and perform at a level indicating preparedness for the program’s coursework.

Program Details

Students learn alongside our general student population earning credits that can be applied toward a degree at CCP or transferred to another institution. Generally, students take 1-2 courses per semester. Advance at College students have full access to College services, including the Learning Labs (tutoring), student computer centers, the Library and Career Services Center. Tuition is discounted for enrolled students.
