Women’s History Month Tabling Event

Join us at the West Regional Center as we kick off Women's History Month at Community College of Philadelphia! We'll be sharing information on our month-long celebration while enjoying snacks and giveaways.
Women’s History Brunch

Let's get together for a catered brunch in honor of women everywhere! Students and staff are invited to join us for an afternoon of trivia, prizes, food and community.
Women’s History Month Fireside Chat with President Generals and Guest Panelists

Encouraging diversity throughout the College community is more than a goal; it's a shared mindset and commitment. Please join Dr. Generals to share reflections on your favorite book, poem, song, or any artistic expression recognizing Women's History Month. This fireside chat will highlight the experiences of three CCP student-parents with their reflections on the intersection of academics, motherhood and women's empowerment.
Free Mobile Mammogram Clinic
Tuesday, March 21| 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Spring Garden Street, Outside of the Mint Building
Join the Women's Outreach and Advocacy Center and the Human Resources team as we collaborate with the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Health to host a free mammogram clinic. The mobile clinic will take place outside of the Mint Building, located on Spring Garden Street, between 16th and 17th streets.
Mammograms will be offered free of charge, with no insurance necessary, to women over the age of 40 who have not had a mammogram in the last 365 days. To participate, you will need a prescription from your primary care physician (PCP). If you do not have a PCP, one from Jefferson can be assigned to you on the day of the event to write a prescription.

Gender and the Justice System: Process Group
Tuesday, March 21, 2023 | 12 p.m. | Bonnell Building, Room BG-07
This group meeting will provide a space for students to connect and discuss their experiences with gender and the criminal justice system. Staff from Women’s Outreach and Advocacy Center, CCP’s Fox Rothschild Center for Law and Society, and Lutheran Settlement House will facilitate. Additional support will be available for students with experiences of domestic or sexual violence.
Women's Poetry and Songwriting Circle
Thursday, March 23 and Thursday, March 30, 2023 | 1 to 2 p.m. | Winnet Coffee House
Join the Women’s Outreach and Advocacy Center with musicians from WXPN and World Café Live for a two-session women’s poetry and songwriting series. Express yourself with help from professional writers and musicians by attending one or both of the meetings.
Celebrating Women Leadership in DEI Luncheon
Thursday, March 30, 2023 | 12 to 1 p.m. | Center for Business and Industry, Room C2-28
To mark the close of Women’s History Month, please join the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning and Title III at a luncheon to celebrate women in higher education. The luncheon will feature a panel of women from area institutions who are leading the efforts in diversity, equity and inclusion on their campuses. To save your seat, RSVP by March 17.
