Academic Probation

Understanding Academic Probation

Students are considered to be on academic probation when they do not meet the Institutional standards established by the Academic Standards and Progress Policy. When a student is on academic probation they must meet with a Counselor to register for courses and to change their schedule at any time during the semester. Academic Probation students should schedule an appointment to register for classes, please contact Counseling at counseling@ccp.edu or 215-751-8169. Also, include a message with your name, J number, and phone number so our office can contact you.

Academic standing is measured by your GPA (grade point average) and is also determined by academic progress also known as completion rate. Academic probation is a warning that your performance has fallen below the institution's requirement for “good academic standing.”
