Non-Violent Communication Workshop: The Politics of Pleasure

Thursday, November 20, 2025 - 4:30pm to 5:30pm This workshop invites participants to explore the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) through the transformative lens of the arts. Blending movement, visual expression, storytelling, and reflective dialogue, participants will engage in creative processes that cultivate empathy, emotional awareness, and authentic connection. Through guided artistic activities, participants learn to recognize feelings and needs—both their own and others’—as a foundation for compassionate communication and conflict transformation. The workshop emphasizes experiential learning, offering a safe, supportive environment for play, vulnerability, and self-discovery. By integrating art-making with NVC practices, participants deepen their capacity to listen, express, and respond with presence and creativity, fostering healing and understanding in personal and community relationships.
