Behavioral Health and Human Services Department

Unlock Your Passion for Helping Others
The Behavioral Health and Human Services (BHHS) Department prepares adult learners for entry-level careers and transfer pathways in behavioral health and human services. Through a whole-person, community-centered approach, BHHS programs combine a strong liberal arts foundation with applied learning and professional skill development. Students learn from faculty with professional experience and engage in experiential opportunities such as practicums.
BHHS supports multiple pathways. Students may choose to enter the workforce, advance in their current roles, or transfer to a four-year college or university to continue their education in fields such as social work, psychology, public health, or related disciplines. BHHS prepares students to support individuals, families, and communities in Philadelphia and surrounding areas with purpose, professionalism, and a commitment to ethical and engaged practice.
