During matriculation through transfer and/or graduation, participants are eligible to receive support and services in the following areas:
Academic Support
- Starfsh Education Plan (Starfish EP)
- Monitoring of Academic Progress
- Academic Support Workshops
- Academic Intervention
- Tutoring
Financial Aid
- Grant Aid
- Financial Aid Workshops
- Full Financial Aid Packages
- Financial Literacy Workshops
Who’s Eligible?
The United States Department of Education's federal regulations require that program participants must be one of the following:
- Low income student - a student whose family or individual student's income falls within the limits established by the U.S. Department of Education and verified by the College;
- First generation college student - any student whose parent living in the home has not earned a four-year degree at the time of enrollment in TRIO SSS
- Students with documented disabilities
TRiO SSS Participants must also:
- Enter the College as full-time students
- Have academic need
- Attain certificate and/or associate degree at the College
- Transfer to a four-year college or university to earn a baccalaureate degree, and
- Be committed to achievement and success
