I’ve been going to CCP since the fall of 2016. Philadelphia has become my home and through that, the College has become a second home. This was a good stepping-stone for me to figure out what I really want to do. I picked CCP because of its sense of diversity and I felt comfortable here—especially coming into a big city. It’s also not as expensive as a four-year institute, so the price plays a really good role in it too. I’m a Theater student, but I’m also really involved. I’m actually starting a new GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) on campus, but it’s basically a club that’s a safe place for LGBT students! I’m trans, so I have had a personal need for people to understand and be respectful of my situation while still working on my education. My plans are to finish my associate degree here at CCP and then attend my dream school, San Diego State University in California! They have a great theater program and do great gender studies.
