I came to the U.S. four years ago. I am from Ecuador. When I came I didn’t know any English. So I went to high school here, and I learned. I wasn’t secure about where to go. So I talked to a couple teachers and they told me that the best option if I wasn’t sure is to come to Community College of Philadelphia; to do two years and then transfer. So that’s what I did the first year I took ESL classes. I finished with those already and now I’m taking regular classes. I’m planning to transfer to UPenn or Drexel and I plan to be an Economics major. I do want to transfer to a four year university. I want to take Economics, and my main goal is to be Ecuador’s President. I want to change the whole economy in Latin America—especially my country. I want to help people there, and that’s why I’m studying here.
