Pathways Magazine Breakfast
The College and Philadelphia community gathered on May 14 for the Pathways Magazine breakfast and Partnerships with a Purpose panel discussion. The Rev. Dr. Lorina Marshall-Blake, president of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation and vice president of Community Affairs at Independence Blue Cross, was featured in this issue of Pathways and provided remarks on the importance of corporate responsibility. On the panel, Dr. Ellyn Jo Waller, a community activist and First Lady of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, represented the faith-based community; Dr. Generals spoke from his expertise in higher education; and Jane Shull, the executive director of Philadelphia FIGHT, a comprehensive health services organization focusing on the needs of individuals living with HIV and AIDS, represented the nonprofit community.
