Seminar Description
Students often face challenges outside the classroom that can significantly impact their ability to persist and succeed in college. Food insecurity, housing instability, financial hardship, and other basic needs barriers can affect attendance, engagement, and academic performance.
This session will introduce faculty and staff to the services offered by Single Stop & Student Care Network and highlight how these resources support student success and retention. Participants will learn to recognize signs that a student may need assistance, engage in supportive conversations, and connect students to resources through a simple referral process using the Single Stop QR code. By partnering with Single Stop, faculty and staff can play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers and stay on the path to achieving their educational goals.
