Search Committee Training
- To effectively learn the process for Faculty and Administrator III & Above searches.
This interactive workshop prepares employees to serve effectively on administrator and faculty search committees at Community College of Philadelphia. Participants will learn their roles and responsibilities throughout the search process, including confidentiality expectations, candidate screening, interview best practices, evaluation methods, and documentation requirements.
The session will provide an overview of both administrator and faculty search processes, highlighting key differences such as teaching demonstrations and Department Head, Dean, Provost, and Presidential interview stages that may be required during faculty searches. Participants will also explore appropriate and inappropriate interview questions and best practices for evaluating candidates using job-related criteria.
Attendees will gain hands-on knowledge of approved evaluation and documentation procedures using NeoEd and Microsoft Forms templates, review real-world scenarios, and apply practical strategies to support equitable, consistent, and legally compliant hiring decisions.
