Participants will hear from a panel of faculty who will speak on different aspects of AI and will learn:

• Why AI can be a revolutionary tool? 
• Why AI is a distraction and does more harm than good? 
• How can we be ‘critical’ about the use of AI? 
• How can we teach our students to use critical thinking when it comes to AI?   

Seminar Description
AI has entered all spheres of our lives and has had a major impact on higher education. It is essential to understand that there are two sides to any revolutionary tool before we determine if itis useful to embrace the tool or to avoid it! Join your colleagues to hear about different perspectives on AI: how AI can be a revolutionary tool to assist us with various tasks to how AI can cause environmental harm and lead our students away from critical thinking. You can then be the judge of how you wish to use AI or not use AI!
