For a range of reasons from the COVID shutdown to childhood trauma to having difficulty negotiating higher education, community college students have diverse needs. The presentation will overview a range of strategies to help students do well in the classroom (executive function skill aids, dyslexia strategies, soft skills, etc.). Our diverse students also need to see representations of themselves and other minorities in course materials whether readings by diverse authors.
