Learning Goals 

Participants will: 

  • Learn the dynamics of abuse and sexual violence. 
  • Review basic clinical skills and crisis response. 
  • Receive an introduction to Safety Planning and trauma-informed care. 
  • Identify city and state support services and systems for referral. 
  • Learn legal resources and rights of survivors. 
  • Work with special populations.  
Seminar Description 
This training will provide an overview of the process’s services offered across the city for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We will also learn the basic principles of trauma-informed care and best practices to support survivors. Training will be done in partnership with experts from WOAR: Philadelphia Center Against Sexual Violence.
