Learning Goals 

Participants will: 

  • Participants will learn about findings from the Little Big Things focus groups and suggestions made about how to improve the workplace and student outcomes. 
Seminar Description 

This summer approximately thirty employees from all areas of the College participated in focus groups inviting the sharing of small ideas that might make a big improvement in our workplace. The participants certainly rose to the occasion and answered this question by providing a wide range of suggestions and feedback. Six key themes emerged from the discussions: communication, onboarding/training, mentorship/promotion, staffing, facilities, student culture/success, and customer service. In this Professional Development week session, Professors Lindsay Madison and Faye Allard invite you to join us to learn about our findings from this interesting research project and to continue the conversation about the Little Big Things we can do to improve the Community College of Philadelphia.
