Seminar Description
Human Resources will be hosting a PD session to assist faculty with obtaining PA state mandated ACT 153 clearances and complete Act 126 Recognition and Recorder Training. As a faculty member of the Community College of Philadelphia, faculty are responsible for obtaining state mandated clearances and training in accordance with the College’s Policy on Background Checks for individuals working with children and the Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law, ACT 153/126. PA ACT 153 requires colleges and universities to obtain background clearances for any individuals having routine interaction with children/minors (under the age of 18) at the college or in a college-sponsored program, activity, or service. Clearances and trainings expire every 60 months, requiring employees to be re-certified.

Please join us to complete your required clearances/trainings with the assistance of CCP Human Resources. If you have already completed your certifications/trainings but have not yet submitted them to HR, we welcome you to drop them off during these times as well. Please note, if you completed FBI fingerprinting, you do need to deliver the results to HR, as the state does not share the results with CCP. In order for faculty to comply with CCP’s policy on background checks, you need to submit your official results to HR. We look forward to seeing you there!
