Participants will:

  • Describe the ways in which we do assessment in common and for common purpose.
  • Summarize results of the Spring 2023 assessment focus groups and reflect or comment on those results as they relate to your own experience and practice.
  • Know more about what the Assessment Platform Review Team is doing and where we are in the process.
  • Describe best practices in learning outcome design as well as best practices in each of the three academic divisions (data collection process, goals, data trends and analysis methods, CLO to course flow, and using assessment data to drive changes in teaching, course design, and curricula) and for administrative and educational support units (AES).
  • Reflect on what you’ve learned about assessment at the College.

Seminar Description
This session includes a presentation on our common assessment story, results of the Spring 2023 assessment focus groups, information about our search for an assessment platform, and a series on best practices in assessment from across the College.
