In-Person: Bonnell, B1-07

Learning Goals
Participants will:

  • Gain access to a handbook created by faculty that will provide them with procedures to follow when dealing with student emergencies.
  • Be able to aid their students to success when they feel confident in handling emergency situations.

Seminar Description
Have you ever had a student contact you about a mental health situation after hours? Have you ever had an underage student become ill in class? Have you ever had a student attend class impaired? Emergencies, behavioral situations, mental health breakdowns and a host of situations can occur at any time and without warning. Being prepared physically and mentally to handle emergencies will help to ease your stress. This handbook is intended for use by faculty of Community College of Philadelphia. It has been designed by Faculty to provide a quick reference with procedures in cases of emergency. The more prepared you are, the better you will respond to an emergency situation.
