Seminar Description
Human Resources will be hosting PD sessions during the week of January 9th through January 11 to assist faculty with obtaining PA state mandated ACT 153/126 clearances and training.  As a faculty member of the Community College of Philadelphia, faculty are responsible for obtaining state mandated clearances and training in accordance with the College’s Policy on Background Checks for individuals working with children and the Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law, ACT 153/126. PA ACT 153 requires colleges and universities to obtain background clearances for any individuals having routine interaction with children/minors (under the age of 18) at the college or in a college-sponsored program, activity, or service.  Clearances and trainings expire every 60 months, requiring employees to be re-certified.
