Seminar Description

Due to COVID, our College community carries varying degrees of stress, grief, and uncertainty, hitting our brains and bodies as trauma. Community college students have been particularly affected by the pandemic because of their roles as frontline workers, parents, family caretakers, and often people experiencing other types of adversity. As the pandemic continues and we return to campus, it’s essential that we take a trauma-informed approach to our interactions with students and each other. This session will give you the knowledge and some well-researched strategies and practices to help build resilience and support our students’ ability to flourish.
