Learning Goals:
At CCP, one of our core value is Academic Integrity. Our value states "We uphold the highest ethical standards in striving for academic and professional integrity in all that we do." The increasing accessibility of powerful AI tools, like ChatGPT and Gemini, has introduced new challenges to academic integrity. Students are finding various ways to use AI to complete their assignments and assessments, raising concerns. Dr. Timothy Hoffman, Superintendent of Unionville-Chadds Ford School District will be the guest speaker during the meeting. Dr. Hoffman will share experience of how the school district witnessed a spike in the use of AI in classroom assessment in middle and high schools, and how they adapted the classroom pedagogy to ensure academic integrity is preserved. He will share how the changes has allowed graduating students to be now well versed in use of AI and also resulted in improvement of student outcomes.
Seminar Description:
Attendance in the meeting is mandatory for faculty and staff in MSHC and LS divisions.
