Faculty/staff from selected departments will obtain equity training to:

• Become academic equity coaches
• Analyze department data through an equity lens and identify equity gaps
• Identify possible interventions and strategies to mitigate equity gaps in their respective departments

Program Description

Equity gaps in academic achievement exist among students of color, particularly in the College's top 25 Gateway courses. Academic equity coaches from the select departments, English, Foundational Math, and Allied Health, will receive equity-minded training to begin the process of identifying strategies and interventions to mitigate the equity gaps in their respective departments.
