  1. To understand the College’s new editorial and design standards, aimed at strengthening the College brand
  2. To provide context around the decisions made around College branding
  3. To help you give your communications a cohesive look and feel so they’re most effective for your audience

Program Description
As we continue to navigate working, learning and connecting in a remote environment, how can we utilize communications to create an affirming, mission-driven sense of place? We know as key members of the College community, you are engaging with current students, prospective students, faculty and staff, members of the public, and many other stakeholders on behalf of Community College of Philadelphia. As a result, it’s important to make sure your messaging aligns with the College’s branding guidelines and best practices, which have been organized into an accessible and comprehensive new resource for you and your team.

In this session, you will learn how voice, tone, high-quality graphics and typography can support your communications and reinforce who we are as a College, and how we want to be perceived. The College’s new Positioning and Brand Guidelines will be reviewed in-depth. Learn about how and when to use the College logo and seal, our official colors and fonts, how to create compelling copy, best practices for social media, and how to best utilize Roary, among other things.

We all want our communications – whether it’s a newsletter, email, social media post, presentation, catalog, or even a conversation! -- to be as effective as possible. The Positioning and Brand Guidelines serve as an easily digestible guide to help take your communications to the next level, and strengthen the College brand and, most important, sense of community.
