Learning Goals
This workshop will be an interactive format. Participants will engage in lively discussions and activities
that will encourage them to:

  1. Define the various generations and their importance to society
  2. Gain an understanding of the diverse generations represented on campus.
  3. Increase their knowledge about each generation’s lived experiences on campus
  4. Identify strategies for understanding and communicating with the various generations
  5. Empower participants to meet the challenges of generational differences

Program Description
Diversity is not just race or gender, it is also age. This Diversity Certificate session is designed to raise awareness about the diverse generations represented among students, faculty and staff. Participants will learn about the importance of accepting and respecting generational differences through a panel discussion and an interactive activity. By identifying the various generations on campus and their stereotypical differences, participants will understand the importance of accepting and respecting generational differences and their impact on communication and collaboration within the College community.
