Seminar Description:

Student success begins with every employee knowing where to connect students with the resources they need! This self-paced, interactive scavenger hunt gives faculty and staff the inside track on five innovative student support programs that advance Community College of Philadelphia's mission and strategic priorities.

Participants will visit four campus locations, each featuring a 5–10-minute micro-session with an interactive activity, snacks, learning game, or hands-on experience designed to introduce these services, referral processes, and student impact of each program. Along the way, participants will build practical knowledge they can immediately apply in their daily work while strengthening their understanding of the College's student support network.

Scavenger Hunt Stops:

  • Ann Hill Makerspace: L1-03
  • Roary's Cubhouse: L1-15
  • Roary's Market: S1-09
  • English Language Learner Supports & Office of Collegiate Recovery: L1-08 (Temporary Student Support Office Hub)

At each stop, attendees will receive proof of participation on a Scavenger Hunt Passport. Employees who complete all four micro-sessions may redeem their completed passport for a prize in L1-08H! Whether you're new to the College or a longtime employee, this experience will provide an insider's view of the people, spaces, and resources that help students overcome barriers, strengthen their wellbeing, and persist toward graduation. Discover how each program contributes to the College's mission—and leave with a practical roadmap for connecting students to the support they need to succeed.
