Learning Goals
Participants will:

  • Learn the most common traumas experienced by ELL/immigrant students.       
  • Recognize trauma symptoms that students may exhibit in a college/academic setting.  
  • Learn how to best help students who may have immigrant trauma. 

Seminar Description

This workshop explores the unique challenges and emotional experiences faced by immigrant and ELL students at CCP. Participants will learn about cultural sensitivity, trauma-informed practices, and strategies to support students who may be experiencing immigration-related trauma(s).
