Learning Goals
Participants will:

  • Identify learning styles and consider constructing lesson plans to accommodate a student's strength.      
  • Realize the impact of trauma, recognizing the signs and symptoms in order to integrate knowledge (integrate the importance of safety around) about student behavior/trauma into daily procedures and practices.   
  • Lead a culture in the classroom that facilitates fewer behavioral problems, stronger engagement, and better academic performance. 

Seminar Description

In this session, attendees will be equipped and inspired to utilize strength-based learning styles to help students by building a fruitful relationship, to improve teaching effectiveness and communication. - Learn a proven trauma informed care system for creating a safe environment in order to motivate students toward engagement in discussions and activities, while improving performance measures and outcomes. - Gain practical classroom management strategies for creating an invested student learning culture based on communal expectations, norms, and inspiring rigorous engagement from students. Join us for this interactive and practical session to gain new insight and share how we evaluate personal strategies, resources, and partnerships in our work to close the opportunity gap.
