- Be shown strategies and resources they can use with students to develop students' Executive Functioning Skills.
Seminar Description
If about 19% of undergraduate students have a disability, teaching that develops Executive Functioning Skills will help all students, but particularly those with disabilities. Whether students have ADHD, anxiety, learning disabilities, or other learning challenges, simple strategies and resources are available faculty members and instructional staff to help students develop Executive Functioning Skills and have more control over their learning. Strategies and resources will be discussed in ten areas of Executive Functioning: Planning, Organization, Task Initiation, Time Management, Working Memory, Metacognition, Self-Control, Attention/Focus, Flexibility, and Perseverance.
