  • Attendees will describe possible threats to student retention
  • Attendees will learn about the new academic probation policy and its impact on student progress
  • Attendees will identify the relevance and purpose of Campaign R.I.S.E
  • Attendees will discuss the importance of an integrative collaboration process and information sharing among departments to strengthen and enhance communication and student outreach efforts
  • Attendees will develop a plan of action to support the Campaign R.I.S.E. initiative in their role 

Seminar Description

Campaign R.I.S.E (Resourceful Information for Student Empowerment) aims to provide preventative and proactive outreach to educate students on academic progress policies, develop practical academic success skills, and navigate support services. This workshop will discuss the purpose of Campaign R.I.S.E., the impact of academic probation on our students, and the initiative's expansion to date, highlighting the importance of campus-wide collaboration and how this initiative aligns with student retention.
