- Gain a basic knowledge of how child protective services were formed
- Be able to identify the difference between a dependent and delinquent child
- Learn about what Community College of Philadelphia has to offer students who are former foster children
Seminar Description
A child enters foster care every two minutes in the United States. This workshop will focus on the foster care / dependency system and how children are placed into care. Topics will include the legal ramifications, why children are placed into foster care, how to become a foster parent, resources for foster parents, and how CCP assists children who were formerly in foster care.
